Sacred Expression
Expanding Into Your Inner Creator
Today, I expressed a lot with my momma.
I haven’t always expressed my gifts. In fact, I haven’t always known or been clear on what my gifts are. It’s been a discovery and a ‘hunt’ for them. I say hunt because I can feel the power of my gifts, even when I am not always clear on what that power is by name. I sense that the gift has always been there, and when I am in the right place at the most perfect and divine time, it will bloom as if it has been waiting for that specific moment all along. It will express itself in a sacred way that is authentic to me, giving me the opportunity to shine my natural light with ease.
Blockage & Vulnerability
Today at my momma’s house, she and I got to talking. We always talk about different things, but today our conversation flowed seamlessly from one topic to another. My mom shared thoughts that utterly surprised me. She shared sacred things with me that she explained she had not shared with anyone else, not even her parents. She said that there were a few times she attempted to share these happenings with those closest to her but was often dismissed, and her experiences were made to feel small and unimportant. This created a blockage in her expression. That same blockage was passed down to me.
I also shared that I didn’t feel able to express many thoughts and experiences because I feared being written off. I told her that many things had stunted my expression and made me feel voiceless, small, and unseen. Eventually, I began to embody those energies. I made sure to be voiceless, small, and unseen. I tried my hardest to fade into the background and be overlooked. At the time, I thought of this as a safety mechanism. If I make myself unnoticeable, then no one sees me, I don’t bring attention to myself, and I’m safe.
But today, our willingness to be vulnerable and allow space for sacred expression let our voices be heard. It allowed us to express phenomenal experiences, challenges that God has seen us through, invasive thoughts we battle, and our hopes for the future. The space we created allowed our sacred expression to flow without barriers, and most importantly, it allowed us to really SEE one another.
Right Resonance
Perhaps what prevents many of us from expressing ourselves unapologetically is finding the Right Resonance. What is ‘Right Resonance’? It’s simply a ‘meant to be’, aligned resonance of ourselves with others, things, or circumstances. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard, just in this past week, that the right people will align and resonate with your energy. Just today, I was speaking with someone and stated that I am no longer searching for those people to align with me but simply waiting for them to come to me. And today people did come, and more will come tomorrow and the next day, until I’ve completely called in my aligned tribe. You see, those people will know and recognize me. They will recognize me in my writing, in my sessions, in my energy, in my being, in my meditations, and in anything else I express sacredly. My sacred expression will be a call to their souls because I am their soul family, and they will recognize me. I am the right resonance for them, and they align with me, with ease.
Focus & Not Give a Damn
In my last article, I presented some reflection questions. What do you really want? No cliché nonsense. What is it that you want? I want so many things, and that’s okay; most people do. Sharing with my mother today offered me so much confirmation: just keep focusing on what you want and how you are looking to expand your experience. Don’t give a damn about the noise. People can’t do what you do because only you can do it your way, so just focus on what you want. Express yourself and your energy to bring all of those desires to fruition. That’s where your focus should go.
Action… Not a Bag a Mout
When I got to this part of this article the reggae song Action- Terror Fabulous ft Nadine Sutherland started playing in my head.
How many times have you prayed, manifested, and meditated, only to stunt your own receiving all because of no action? Sacred expression involves action. Today, I heard my mother say, “I’m getting tired of working.” Bless God for allowing me to be at a place to correct my mother and tell her to watch her mouth! HAHA! I told her we never stop working. We don’t have to do all the work to bring forward our desires, but we do have to make an effort. Most doors open if you take a little action and turn the doorknob. A little action, to me, tells God (Source, Universe), ‘Hey, I am serious about this desire I’m expressing, so much so that I’ll get the ball rolling towards my desired outcome,’ knowing there is a time to take action and then a time to allow infinite possibilities to orchestrate. So, yes, focus on what you want, pray and meditate on it, and then put a little action towards it, as if you’re making a serious investment into it.
Memento Mori… Someday You Must Die
There’s always a philosopher ready to give us ancient wisdom for modern times. We turn to Marcus Aurelius with Memento Mori: Remember You Must Die. It might seem harsh, but blunt truths can be the fire we need to realize our desire to create and express is worth going after, simply because we don’t know if tomorrow is promised. So, just don’t give a damn and try anyway. Often when I write these articles, the words just flow. When I write without overthinking or masking my own beliefs, I share the most authentic version of myself possible. This is one of my many ways of sacred expression: to share and create by way of writing. It’s been the voice for me when my own vocal cords struggled to speak. I need to express myself, and I need to do it before I die.
Containers to Just BE and EXPRESS
Today, my mother and I made space for one another to express ourselves. There was no judgment, no ridicule, and no dismissal. Just space and sacred expression. By the end of the evening, she shared that she was so proud of me and the woman I’ve become. She was proud of me for being brave, courageous, and a way-maker for others and for herself. I became an inspiration to her, even though she’s my mother. We both had takeaways, just from the little container we created for ourselves, and I bless God so much for it. It’s what led to the sacred expression of this very article.
I’d like to extend this invitation to a very special and sacred container I’ll be hosting monthly, beginning on October 26, 2025. This container is known as The Haven Hour and is a sacred space for sacred expression.
The purpose of this container is to allow for honest unloads that help you move forward, trusting in the true guidance you have inside you. You are a creator from a Master Creator, and no one can do what you do the way you do it. I am making it a point to create space for you, myself, and others to just BE.
I Bless God for Your Life

This was such a powerful read! What you shared about “Right Resonance” landed at the perfect time—I really needed that reminder. I had a similar experience with my mother this week, sharing vulnerably in a way I never imagined possible. Yes, let your people come to you! I’m right there with you. I also try to be intentional about putting myself in spaces that invite the right people to show up. Deep work, truly. Thank you for this beautiful newsletter. 😊
